Request an Insurance Quote: what to know
Do not include Social Security numbers, payment details, driver’s-license numbers, or documents with sensitive information. Additional information can be discussed during follow-up.
Start with the deadline and the question
Tell the agent whether you are renewing, purchasing or responding to a written requirement. A home closing, vehicle delivery and business certificate request need different information. Have the date available at the start of the conversation. If you received a notice, keep every page rather than only the payment amount so the actual requirement can be discussed.
What belongs in an initial inquiry
Use the form for contact details and a short description of the request. Mention the type of property, vehicle or business and what you want to discuss. Do not include driver license numbers, Social Security numbers, account details or payment information. If additional documents are needed, ask the agent how they should be provided through an appropriate channel.
Prepare the records you already have
A current declarations page and renewal notice are useful starting points. For a property request, collect roof and system update information where available. For a vehicle, have the VIN and driver details ready for the conversation. For business coverage, keep the contract or lease insurance requirements nearby. You do not need to invent a missing answer; explain which records you have.
Understand the acknowledgment
An acknowledgment of an inquiry is not an issued policy, a binder or confirmation of an effective date. Ask the agent what must be reviewed and what conditions remain before coverage can be confirmed. Keep the existing arrangement in place until any replacement is established. The website does not promise a response time or immediate availability, and an unconfigured form is clearly disabled.
Turn your next question into a clear next step.
Have your current documents nearby. Tell a licensed Florida agent what you want to protect, what concerns you and when you need an answer.
